About GET

GET was set up as a not-for-profit in August 2020 to promote sustainable social initiatives in education, health, enterprise, and community development. Endowed with initial seed funding from Grooming Centre, GET provides grants and investments to social enterprises creating impact in their communities.

What We Do

At GET, we are committed to making a lasting difference in the world. As a not-for-profit organisation, our mission revolves around the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), advocating for, supporting, contributing to, and promoting sustainable social initiatives. Our focus areas include education, health, enterprise, community development in peri-urban and rural areas, as well as aid and humanitarian relief for those in need.. With our tagline,"Bringing Ideas to Life," we empower early-stage companies and initiatives by providing grants, funding, and support to bring about tangible social impact. Our primary geographical reach is within Africa, where we actively seek out and nurture transformative projects that address pressing social challenges.

GETAP

The Grooming Endowment Teachers Appreciation Program (GETAP) is geared at providing support for teachers and rewarding diligent teachers in low-income and underfunded communities. This is where the importance of GETAP emerges. The initiative is set to support 12 deserving teachers, 2 fs-6 from each of the 6 geo-political zones, with a sum of two hundred thousand Naira (N200,000) and other resources in kind. This is to help alleviate some of the economic burdens these teachers face while carrying out their passionate and essential functions in society.

Eligibility Requirements

  1. Must currently be working in an underserved and remote environment.
  2. Must currently be working in an underserved and remote environment.
  3. Must show impact or innovation in teaching.
  4. Must show passion and plans for continuity in the profession to help more children and encourage others in the field.
  5. Must have a minimum of 5 years teaching experience.

GETaccelerated

Grooming Endowment Trust (GET) proudly announces the launch of the fourth cohort of the GETaccelerated program. This groundbreaking initiative is dedicated to fostering innovation and economic growth within the startup ecosystem in Nigeria. This year's program aims to support 10 exceptional founders, building on the exemplary success of the previous cohorts where 20 startups received over 150 million Naira in equity free funding and support resources.

  5. Market Access: Get the insights and support you need to effectively enter and thrive in new markets.

Who Should Apply

We are seeking passionate founders who are:

  1. At the helm of a startup with a scalable solution and a clear vision.
  2. Eager to accelerate their growth and make a tangible impact in their industry.
  3. Must be at the pre-seed or seed stages.
  4. Must be a registered startup with at least 2 of the founders in Nigeria.
  5. Must be registered and incorporated with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) of Nigeria.
  6. Ready to engage deeply with our network of mentors, investors, and fellow innovators.

The program will kick off with a three-day physical boot camp in Lagos state, followed by a twelve-week virtual accelerator, and concludes with a Demo Day & Mixer event, where startups will pitch for additional funding and engage with investors and ecosystem partners.

GET Compass

The GET Compass is a grant program that supports small and medium-scale businesses. Get up to 2 million Naira in Grant which enables you to scale up and also facilitates programs that would give you the expertise to carry out your business processes better.

  2. Business must not be more than three years old.

  3. Must be available to attend a 2-week workshop in lagos.

  4. Must be a registered operating business.

  5. Must show evidence of making business a going concern.
